Pace Notes

Pricing

Pace Notes is an always-on-top Mac app that listens to a live sales call and puts the next thing to say on screen. That means pricing framings, objection answers and case studies from your own playbook. Afterwards it writes the call notes.

The AI and transcription for your live calls and post-call notes are included in both plans, so there are no API keys to set up for those. Pace Notes runs on Mac; the Chrome extension is not yet released. Sold to buyers in the United States only at launch.

Questions

What counts as a minute?

The time a call is running.

What happens when I reach my allowance?

Once your month's minutes are used, a new call cannot start on our service until your allowance resets when your plan renews, unless we have agreed extra minutes with you in writing. Those cost $0.12 a minute, up to the monthly cap agreed with you. A call that is already running keeps transcribing and still writes its notes, but its suggestion cards pause when it reaches the limit.

If you have saved your own Anthropic and Deepgram keys in the app, a call that our service cannot take, because your allowance is used up or the service is unavailable, can start on those keys instead. You then pay Anthropic and Deepgram directly for that call, and the app tells you the first time this happens in a session.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time, in Stripe's customer portal. The confirmation page after you buy links to it. If you no longer have that, ask for a sign-in link by email at billing.stripe.com with the email you paid with. You can also write to cole@genesisweb.org and we will cancel it for you. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and nothing more is charged after that. On the free trial, cancel before the 7 days end and you are never charged.

How do I get the app and my licence key?

After you buy, we email you your licence key and the download link by hand, usually within one business day. In the app, paste the key under Settings → Licence, then activate the device. When a renewal is paid, and when the free trial turns into Solo, we send you a new key to paste in. A key carries an expiry date: when it passes, the app stops starting new calls and plan features revert to the free tier, so enter the new key as soon as it arrives. The free trial's 7 days are counted from checkout. Questions: cole@genesisweb.org.

Which devices does it run on?

Mac. One licence is for one person and covers up to two devices at a time. The Chrome extension is not yet released.

Do I need to set up API keys?

Not for live calls or call notes: the AI and transcription for those are included in both plans. Outside a call, some features use your own Anthropic key if you have saved one. The setup wizard's optional AI draft of your knowledge files does, for example; without a key the wizard gives you starter templates to fill in instead. Your own keys are also what a call runs on in the fallback described under the allowance question.

Where does my data go?

Pace Notes is sold to buyers in the United States only at launch. On a call that runs on our service, your call audio passes through our server to Deepgram, which transcribes it, and the transcript text, with your knowledge file and any records you hold for the client on the call, passes through our server to Anthropic, which writes the suggestions and notes. From the Mac app, Deepgram also receives up to 50 short name hints (client, company and contact names and tool names) to help it spell them. Our server runs on DigitalOcean in New York, and what we store (your licence, knowledge, call and usage records) is held in the US, in a Neon database in its US East region. We do not choose where Deepgram or Anthropic process a request, and Anthropic may process requests outside the United States. The Privacy page and the subprocessor list have the details.

Can I have my data erased?

Yes. Cancelling does not erase anything by itself, and nothing is deleted automatically when a subscription ends or a licence expires: until you ask, we keep it. Write to cole@genesisweb.org and we erase it by hand, within 30 days of the later of your request and the end of your billing, including any final overage. We do not erase while a subscription is still billing, so either we stop the subscription first or you cancel it first in Stripe's customer portal. Your knowledge, its earlier versions and the copies kept with your calls are deleted, and your email address is blanked. Usage, call, device and subscription records are kept, pseudonymised, as accounting records. The Privacy page and the Data Processing Agreement say exactly what is deleted and what is kept.
